Apparently these things pay for themselves. Hilda has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Carmel Bach Festival; won the top prize in the seventh international J.S. Bach Competition in Wurzburg, Germany; and conducted the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra.
Hilda was also featured in filmmaker Michael Lawrence's documentary "Bach & Friends," in pretty good company: Joshua Bell, Bobby McFerrin, Philip Glass and Bela Fleck, to name a few. You can watch a clip from the film here.
At 1 p.m. on Jan. 21, the young harpsichordist/pianist will perform with PBO at a free student concert; she'll be featured in Bach's Concerto for Harpsichord in D Major. She's said to be the youngest soloist ever to perform with the group. Admission for the Herbst Theatre concert is free for school groups.
